Synopsis
The Kazakh are a nomadic ethnic group historically dwelling by following water and grass. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, while many Kazakhs in cities have shifted from nomadic lifestyles, herders in pastoral and agricultural areas have well-preserved their traditional customs. This film follows a Kazakh couple’s life on the grassland, illustrating their profound love for this land. However, with the acceleration of China’s modernization and various factors including their aging, this may be their final nomadic relocation, compelling them to change their traditional nomadic way of life. Hanat grew up here and has an extraordinary love for this land. He dedicated the best years of his life to this land. His childhood was like the wound of a foal in the film, which could not heal, and it remains here forever...
