Synopsis
Laylo is a humble janitor working at a local music school. Her young daughter, Kumush, quietly dreams of playing the piano. One day, Kumush watches a piano lesson at the school with awe, and later pauses in front of a piano store, staring longingly at the instrument through the glass. Living under financial hardship, her mother has to postpone the idea of buying a piano. But Kumush doesn’t give up — she draws piano keys on paper and begins “playing” them in her imagination. When Laylo sees her daughter so deeply immersed in her dream, she is moved to the core and makes a silent, selfless decision that no one sees coming. This film is about a child’s dream, a mother’s quiet sacrifice, and the boundless power of imagination. White Keys is a tender, emotional story of silent hope, quiet strength, and unconditional love.
